  • After a historic series win in Australia, India was expected to crush England in the four-match Test series at home. But things did not go as per the expectations and India had to face disappointment as they lost the match by a massive margin of 227 runs.
  • Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill will open the inning for the India team.Shubman Gill was brilliant on the Australian tour and also registered a good fifty in last game. Rohit Sharma is an experienced batsman. He could not look much consistent in his Test career yet and batted poor in last Test.
  • Cheteshwar Pujara will bat at No 03. After very good batting against Australia, he continued his good form in the first Test and scored 73 runs in first innings.
  • Skipper Virat Kohli will bat at No 04. He is world class batsman.He scored 75 runs in second innings. However, he scored only 11 runs in the first innings of previous Test. 
  • Ajinkya Rahane is another very good Test batsman at No 05. He registered brilliant century in second Test at Melbourne. 
  • One of Washington Sundar or Axar Patel will follow next in batting. Both are good lower middle batsman and very good off spinner as well. He scored 85 runs in the first innings of previous game.
  • Ravichandran Ashwin and One of Washington Sundar and Axar Patel will take care of spin bowling along with may be kuldeep yadav.

  • England continues their winning streak in Asia by winning the first match of the series, and they have won three consecutive games. 
  • Rory Burns and Dom Sibley will open the innings for team. Both are very talented batsmen. D Sibley batted very good in first Test match and registered a good half century in first innings.
  • Daniel Lawrance will bat at No 03. He is a attacking batsman.He got out for duck in the first innings of 1st Test.
