• The way the Australian team performed in the ODI series has not been reflected in the T20I series and as a result, they lost the 2nd T20I by the margin of 6 wickets and also losing the series.
• One of the major reasons for their losses was the absence of key players like David Warner, Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood and Aaron Finch in the team. In the last match, Matthew Wade was made the captain in the absence of Finch, and he batted brilliantly as an opener scoring a half-century.
• They scored a total of 194 runs in their inning of 20 overs. Skipper Matthew Wade was the highest run-scorer from their side who scored 58 runs in 32 deliveries. Steven Smith also scored 46 runs on 38 deliveries.Glenn Maxwell scored 22 runs while Moises Henriques had scored 26 runs to his name.
• Australia lost the previous match due to the worst performance by their bowling unit. They failed to defend the target of 195 runs and were charged for the target in 19.4 overs.
